Simulate Mobile Robots with Works Library

Finding ways to optimize processes and free up resources is no easy task. Automation can help in the form of mobile robots. A mobile robot is designed to move around in an environment and perform tasks. For example, you could assign delivery tasks to mobile robots. That would allow your workers to focus on specific tasks and avoid interruptions, such as leaving their workstation to carry things from one place to another. Mobile robots are flexible and can be outfitted to do other tasks. Think of robots stacking and packaging parts, tugging carts, carrying pallets, and helping workers assemble products.

In this course, you learn how to simulate mobile robots. You will learn how to automate and allocate tasks to be done by vehicles, monitor and track their utilization, and define and edit vehicle routes. You will also get familiar with different use cases and modules that allow a mobile robot to service different production lines and needs. At the end of this course, you should be able configure layouts to use different types of mobile robots, plan and implement their routes and tasks, and be able to troubleshoot common issues associated with the vehicles.

To complete the course you will need to use Visual Components 4.1.1 or higher. This course does not require you to do any component modeling or programming/scripting.
